Racializing Difference: Latin@ and Muslim Migrants in the U.S.
This site interrogates how Islamophobia in the POST-9/11 United States has affected the racialized migration, detention and deportation of Muslims and Latin@s in the United States. We will cover the historical implications that have brought Islamophobia to its current moment in the country and how it directly connects to the attacks against Muslim and latin@ migrants.We are particularly interested in the racialization of deportation toward brown bodies as a way to create doctrines of otherness.
